What can an environmental management system do for your business?
First, any type of organization can benefit from an EMS. Municipalities, manufacturing, government, retail, and non-profits to name a few can derive benefits from an EMS. Many annual reports contain data on costs and benefits from an EMS. Most of these show annual cost savings far in excess of the cost of running the program. The Module is an in depth look on ISO 14000 and provides a comprehensive framework that contains core elements for managing a company's processes and activities to identify significant environmental aspects the organization can control and over which it can be expected to have an influence. » ISO 14001: Implementation
The Module provides guidance and insights for development of an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS). Exercises give participants experience writing parts of an EMS. A real must for the core group developing a new EMS. ISO14000 is compatible with ISO9000 and other management standards.
» ISO 14001 Internal Auditing
The Module is an in depth and detailed course on how to audit the environmental requirements. The module includes a detailed experience in the ISO 19011:2002 on the principles of auditing, managing audit programmes, conducting quality management system audits and environmental management system audits, as well as guidance on the competence of quality and environmental management system auditors.
It is applicable to all organizations needing to conduct internal or external audits of quality and/or environmental management systems or to manage an audit programme. The application of ISO 19011 to other types of audits is possible in principle provided that special consideration is paid to identifying the competence needed by the audit team members in such cases. This module is extensive and challenging but it creates self directed change agents.
